26 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things- and the things that are not- to nullify the things that are 29so that no one may boast before him. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Just a random thought
So this morning we were woken up by this massive thunder, lighting and rain storm which is pretty rare where we live. It is so cool to actually hear the sounds of real weather. The air is clean and the plants and grass seem to come to life and look brighter than usual. This is what all of us should look like everyday. But reality is that many people seem to just go through the daily motions and feel like this is what life is. An overwhelming problem that faces many people is loneliness and the cure for that is to make an effort to go visit them or take the time to listen when they talk to us. When was the last time you went to visit someone for no other reason but to see how they are doing or took ten minutes to listen to a friend or a stranger. You know that you feel good when someone does it to you so be a blessing to someone today and step out of your routine and make a difference in their life and in yours.
